Folder & File Size Scanner
Nothing leaves your machine. The scanner runs locally, stores results locally, and makes zero network calls.
Folder & File Size Scanner ("the tool", "we", "us", "our") is developed and published by Subverting Complexity, based in South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains how the tool handles information when you use it.
This policy is published in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa.
Folder & File Size Scanner is a local, offline tool. We do not collect any of the following:

off your machine.
You can remove all cached data by deleting the cache folder, or by simply uninstalling the tool.
Folder & File Size Scanner makes zero network calls. The tool runs as a local web server on your machine (localhost) and communicates only between your browser and this local server. No data is sent to any external server, cloud service, or third party. The tool functions identically with or without an internet connection.
The tool operates in a strictly read-only mode. It scans your filesystem to report sizes and may suggest directories you could clean up, but it never modifies, moves, or deletes any files. All cleanup actions are left entirely to you.
Because Folder & File Size Scanner does not collect or process your personal information, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. Nonetheless, under POPIA you have the right to:
If you believe we hold any personal information about you, you may contact us using the details below, and you may also contact South Africa's Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of the tool ever begins to collect data, we will update this policy and request consent where required before doing so.
